Stefanutti Stocks Inland is seeking a Junior User Support Technician to provide first-line IT support across the organisation. The role focuses on delivering effective Helpdesk and administrative support, ensuring accurate logging, diagnosis, and timely resolution of IT incidents and service requests in line with agreed SLAs. The successful candidate will support user account management, IT asset control, and documentation while working in a fast-paced support environment. The position is based at Head Office in Kempton Park and will include occasional travel to project sites as required.


Key Responsibilities




Helpdesk and First-Line Support




Serve as the primary point of contact for all IT-related incidents and service requests Log, categorise, prioritise, and update support tickets accurately within the Helpdesk system Provide Level 1 troubleshooting for Microsoft 365, Windows 10/11, printers, hardware, and basic networking issues Resolve incidents within defined SLAs or escalate to second-line support when required Deliver remote and on-site technical support to end users

User Administration




Create, modify, and disable user accounts in Microsoft 365 and Entra ID (Azure AD) Assign software licenses, access permissions, and security group memberships Support onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure timely access provisioning and revocation

Systems and Endpoint Support




Assist with preparation, configuration, and deployment of laptops, desktops, and mobile devices Install and configure approved software and applications Ensure endpoints receive operating system updates, patches, and security configurations Perform routine checks on boardroom equipment, printers, and AV systems

Asset and Documentation Management




Maintain accurate IT asset registers and inventory records Track allocation, movement, and return of IT equipment Create, update, and maintain IT documentation, SOPs, and user guides

Security and Compliance




Adhere to POPIA and internal IT security policies and procedures Enforce multi-factor authentication (MFA) and access controls Identify, report, and escalate potential security incidents Ensure correct data handling and secure disposal of IT equipment and information

Continuous Improvement




Identify recurring incidents and recommend process or system improvements Contribute to improving Helpdesk efficiency and service quality Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge through ongoing learning

Technical Competencies




Microsoft 365 administration Azure AD / Entra ID Windows 10/11 support Basic networking concepts IT ticketing systems Remote support tools

0-2 years IT Support or Helpdesk experience Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
