Job Summary
Jnr Plant Engineer (Sugar), Richards Bay, Rneg + Ben + Accommodation
- BTech /BSc/BEng in Mechanical
- Successful completion of I.T. in heavy industry will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in a heavy engineering
- Good technical fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Basic report writing skills using all MS Office
- Knowledge and experience on computerized maintenance management systems.
- Asset management, condition monitoring and predictive maintenance experience.
- Sugar industry experience will be an
- SMRI 10-week course will be an
- Excellent people management, communication, teamwork, and leadership
- Support the engineering team to achieve safety and production
- Perform plant SHE, 5-S, and reliability inspections.
- Over check adherence to SHE and Food Safety inspections and compliance
- Lead and drive LEAN manufacturing continuous improvement projects across sections.
- Lead and manage equipment replacement capital
- Lead and perform Root Cause Analyses
- Perform plant and equipment performance evaluation
- Lead and perform plant optimization and reliability improvement
- Review and update preventive and predictive maintenance schedules.
- Review and update operating and maintenance safe work procedures and work
- Develop and implement new preventive and predictive maintenance
- Help with shutdown
- Do engineering standby
- Manage budgets.
- From time to time stand in as a Section
