Jnr Cost Estimator
Job Description
A leading and renowned printing company based in Stikland, is looking for a high performing Cost Estimator to join their vibrant team. As a Cost Estimator, you will play a vital role in producing accurate, and competitive quotations while maintaining a reasonable profit margin within 24 hours and providing exceptional technical support to the sales team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 - 3 years' experience within a similar role.
You will be responsible for but not limited to:
Estimating the cost of a planned project in terms of labour, equipment and materials required
Pricing all services requested by various clients
Calculating in-house charges
Requesting estimates from outside sources
This is incorporated in an estimate of costs which is shared with the client
Efficiently estimate jobs considering various cost factors to ensure competitiveness
Ensure a turnaround time of 12 - 24 hours on quotations
Ensure accurate and complete information is communicated to production
Respond promptly and efficiently to queries
Provide technical support both internally and externally
Qualifications:
Matric/Grade 12 Certificate
Relevant tertiary qualification with at least 3-4 years' experience in a similar role
Certificate in Estimating will be advantageous
Knowledge of label printing processes will be beneficial
Cost Estimation experience
Working knowledge of: MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) & QuickEasy
Skills:
Good communication skills and able to work well with a diverse team (Afrikaans & English)
Deadline orientated and work well under pressure
Attention to detail
Excellent time management skills
Positive and assertive attitude
A good team player
Ability to work both independently and in a team
Capable of managing multiple activities simultaneously
Disciplined to meet and exceed delivery on deadlines
