Job Description

Part-time (5-6 hours/day)

Our client is seeking a skilled Jewelry CAD Designer to join a growing design team. You will be responsible for transforming sketches, reference images, and design briefs into accurate 3D models using Rhino software, with deliverables including STL files suitable for 3D printing and casting. The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for detail, a deep understanding of jewelry construction, and the ability to meet tight deadlines with consistent precision.

Responsibilities:

Convert 2D sketches, design inspirations, and photos into 3D jewelry models using Rhino.


Prepare and deliver print-ready STL files for production (casting, printing, etc.).


Make prompt revisions based on feedback from the client or production team.


Communicate effectively with the client during overlapping business hours to ensure expectations are aligned.


Provide 3D renders or video previews of jewelry designs (if needed).


Work closely with the clients team and virtual assistant to ensure projects are well-documented and organized.


Maintain an internal library of finished designs and CAD files.

Requirements:

Proven experience as a CAD Designer in the jewelry industry.


Proficient in Rhino 3D software and able to produce clean, print-ready STL files.


Understanding of jewelry manufacturing processes (casting, setting, etc.).


Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with complex, high-end designs.


Ability to turn around simple designs within 13 hours, and more complex ones within 4-5 hours.


Fluent in English with excellent communication and organizational skills.


Must be available during U.S. business hours for feedback and collaboration

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience creating 3D render videos of jewelry (not mandatory).


Background in fine jewelry or high-end luxury design.


Familiarity with file management systems and design tracking tools
