Summary
Our client, a global Leader in the Engineering industry is looking for a Java Developer to join their team on a long term contract basis.
Contract up to end of December 2027.
Location: Pretoria Menlyn / Pretoria Rosslyn / Midrand and home office on a rotational basis
Description
- Effectively working and collaborating in an international team.
- Self-motivated to learn and stay up to date with changing technology.
- Working in an integrated Agile Environment (Jira, Confluence).
- Meet with end users to understand Business requirements.
- Participate in all relevant Agile ceremonies.
- Contribute to the refinement and sizing of user stories.
- Propose and review system design and evaluate alternatives.
- Review and present to Product Owners.
- Backend:
- Java (versin 17 advantageous)
- Kafka (Streaming API)
- Quarkus
- Hibernate
- PstgreSQL
- Versin Management (GitHub)
- DevOps:
- Kubernetes
- Pipeline Setup and Autmation (e.g. Github Actions)
- Infrastructure as Cde & GitOps
- Experience with ITIL Operatin processes (Incident, Problem, Change management)
- Experience with public clud providers e.g. Microsoft Azure
- General:
- Design Patterns
- Data Driven Architecture
