CAREER OPPORTUNITY
Santam Technology Services (STS) has a career opportunity for an intermediate Java Developer in the SantamRe / Business Delivery department which will be based in the Western Cape or Gauteng.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable Java / React applications.
- Write clean, testable, and efficient code.
- Develop and implement RESTful APIs and web services.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems.
- Participate in all phases of the development lifecycle, including testing.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and standards
- Prepare and produce release documents for software migration to production.
- A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years' java development experience
- Solid experience in Spring Boot, ReactJS, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript
- Experience with JUnit, Apache Maven, Hibernate ORM.
- Agile methodology (SCRUM, Kanban).
- Strong SQL skills.
- Proficient in common design patterns and Object-Oriented Development (OOD).
- Knowledge of JSON, XML, JWT.
- Exposure to Atlassian tools (JIRA, Bamboo, Confluence).
- Knowledge of AWS, Kubernetes and Docker is advantageous.
