Our client is looking for a skilled and collaborative Java Developer to join an inclusive team. This full-time Java Developer role is based in Cape Town and offers a salary of up to R800,000 p/a including excellent benefits. As a Java Developer, you will be involved in expanding the existing payment platform, supporting software and building new and exciting features and applications relating to payments, ecommerce and security. In your first few weeks in this Java Developer role, you can expect to:
  • Translate business requirements into detailed designs for implementation
  • Participate in estimation discussions with the product team
  • Test and documentation of developed code
  • Maintain integration tests, unit tests and user acceptance tests
  • Identify and close any potential security risks
To apply for this Java Developer role, we look for a number of years of experience in Java software development. You will also require the following:
  • Experience in Microservices and Web API integration
  • Knowledge of Front End technologies such as JavaScript, Node, HTML, CSS
  • DevOps experience with tools such as Docker, Git
  • AWS cloud experience ideally
