Education:
Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
Experience:
Minimum 2-3 years' experience in IT support with a focus on networking and infrastructure.
Hands-on experience in cabling, device configuration, and user support.
Exposure to agricultural, manufacturing, or field-based environments is advantageous.
Technical Competencies:
Proficiency in Microsoft Windows Server, Office 365, and Azure Administration.
Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, and VPN setup.
Familiar with firewalls, switches, routers, and wireless controllers.
Understanding of data backup and disaster recovery systems.
Soft Skills:
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Reliable, organized, and able to work under pressure.
Willingness to work flexible hours when required (e.g., during system upgrades or downtime).
Certifications (Advantageous):
CompTIA Network+, CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified (MCP/MCSA/Modern Workplace Administrator), or equivalent.
Duties and Responsibilities
Network Infrastructure & Hardware
Install, configure, and maintain network hardware (routers, switches, access points, and firewalls).
Perform network cabling installations, terminations, labeling, and documentation according to industry standards.
Ensure consistent network connectivity across farms, offices, and production areas.
Conduct regular network performance assessments, identifying bottlenecks and implementing corrective measures.
Maintain and support wireless network coverage and optimize signal strength across operational sites.
Systems Administration & Support
Provide first- and second-line IT support to all departments for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
Deploy, upgrade, and maintain computers, printers, and peripheral devices.
Knowledge of Microsoft 365 environment (user accounts, mailboxes, Teams, SharePoint, etc.).
Support Azure and cloud applications, ensuring proper authentication and access controls.
Assist in software licensing management and version control.
Maintain asset registers for IT hardware and software.
Maintenance & Troubleshooting
Proactively monitor systems to detect potential issues before they impact users.
Maintain backup systems, ensuring business continuity in case of outages.
Conduct hardware repairs, replacements, and upgrades when necessary.
Liaise with external vendors and service providers for escalated issues or warranty claims.
Documentation & Compliance
Maintain comprehensive network diagrams, cabling maps, and IT procedure manuals.
Ensure compliance with Greenway Farms' IT policies, data security, and access control protocols.
Keep accurate records of incidents, resolutions, and preventive maintenance activities.
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
Research emerging technologies to improve system performance and security.
Support Systems Manager in implementing strategic IT projects and digital transformation initiatives.
