Our client, a well-known & well-established South African listed company, has an exciting opportunity for an IT Technician to join their team in Richards Bay.
Requirements:
- IT Diploma / Degree in IT Support / Microsoft Certified System Engineer
- 4 years' experience in a corporate environment with 2 years in a similar role
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to work & communicate with all levels of management, across business units & departments
- Ability to demonstrate a methodical approach & able to prioritize work
- Ability to interact efficiently & effectively with people in acquiring information & resolving queries
- Ensure all calls are handled with SLA
- Manage & maintain helpdesk documentation
- Ensure all clients are logged into the system & all progress reports are appropriately on the ticketing system
- Available for out-of-hours support required
- Monitor backup operations
- Provide first- & second-line support
- Installing, configuring, & troubleshooting printers
- Network patching & cabling support
- Remote support as required
- IP telephone support
- Video Conferencing support
- Direct interaction with IT customers
- Follow up progress tickets with customers when required
- Proactively get updates for customers & systematically update the records on service desk
- All IT communications to end users
