IT Technician: Cradle Boutique Hotel & Nature Reserve
Duties and responsibilities
Manage information technology and computer systems.
Manage AV technology equipment on all properties associated with Cradle hospitality pty ltd.
Plan, organise and manage all IT, AV asset inventory and Update documentation to reflect changes in the IT environment.
Plan, organize, control and evaluate IT and electronic data operations.
Design, develop, implement and coordinate systems, policies and procedures.
Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems.
Act in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organizational policy.
Identify problematic area and implement strategic solutions in time.
Audit systems and assess their outcomes.
Preserve assets, information security and control structures.
Making sure printers, video conferencing systems and other IT related equipment is functioning.
Troubleshoot camera and alarm systems.
Provide frontline technical support to end-users, addressing hardware, software, and network-related issues.
Diagnose and troubleshoot all IT problems, offering timely and effective solutions.
Assist in the administration and maintenance of IT systems, including servers, databases, and network infrastructure.
Implement hotel-based security protocols and updates to ensure system integrity.
Conduct training sessions for end-users to enhance their proficiency in using IT systems.
Monitor and manage network performance, identifying and resolving connectivity issues.
Collaborate with network administrators to optimize network efficiency.
Establish and maintain data backup procedures to prevent data loss.
Develop and test disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity.
Assist in the procurement of IT equipment and software, ensuring compatibility and cost-effectiveness.
Work closely with other IT professionals, including system administrators, network engineers, and cybersecurity experts, to address complex issues.
Communicate technical information to non-technical end-users in a clear and understandable manner.
Provide updates on system status, planned maintenance, and security awareness.
Stay informed about emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices.
Pursue professional development opportunities to enhance technical skills.
Experience
Minimum 4 years' experience in the hospitality industry as am IT specialist and in related fields.
Must have experience in operating and basic maintenance of Av equipment, including PA system operation.
Must have basic knowledge of video conferencing applications
Must have a valid Driver's License and own vehicle.
Ability to close out task's Occasional after-hours work & standby.
Ability to work under pressure.
Ability to work unsupervised.
Windows Operating System Experience is required, and Mac Operating Systems will be beneficial.
Must be fluent in English.
Hotel systems experience (Opera/Nebula Pms, sage pastel, point of sale or micros or any alternative hotel systems)
Network trouble shooting
CompTIA A+: For foundational IT support knowledge.
CompTIA Network+: For networking basics.
CompTIA Security+: For cybersecurity fundamentals.
Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals: For cloud basics.
