As an IT Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our clients, troubleshooting hardware and software problems, and maintaining our IT infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: - Provide technical support to clients, both remotely and on-site - Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues - Install and configure computer systems, networks, printers, and other IT equipment - Monitor and maintain the company's IT infrastructure, including servers, routers, and firewalls - Conduct regular system backups and ensure data integrity - Keep track of inventory and order new equipment as needed - Train and assist users on new software and hardware - Stay updated on the latest technology trends and make recommendations for improvement - Collaborate with other team members to resolve complex IT issues - Adhere to company policies and procedures for data security and system maintenance - Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive relationship with clients Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field - 2+ years of experience in a similar role - Strong knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking - Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems - Experience with virtualization technologies, such as VMware or Hyper-V - Knowledge of network security and data backup solutions - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills - Ability to work independently and in a team environment - Strong communication and customer service skills - IT certifications, such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Professional, are a plus Working Conditions: This is a full-time, permanent position based in Johannesburg South, South Africa.
