Matric + Relevant experience
Relevant courses in IT support and maintenance
(A+ & N+ as a minimum)
1-2 Years relevant experience working as a Level 1 desktop technician with good understanding of 0365 and active directory as well as strong troubleshooting skills

IT Support and Maintenance:
General IT Support provide timeous and accurate support to all users:
Provide timeous and accurate IT support to all users
Respond to errors and queries by directly addressing issues / notifying management
Logging of queries
Ensuring backups are accurately completed daily
Ensuring storage of backups is correct and secure
Ensuring reliable and consistent connectivity, monitoring uptime and usage
General equipment and network maintenance:
Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks for failure and errors
Diagnosing and solving hardware / software faults
Diagnosing and solving technical and application problems
Maintenance of server and testing system resources and utilization
Replacing parts as required
Conducting safety checks on computer equipment
Configuration and troubleshooting of Mimecast and 0365
General maintenance of user machinery and data
Software upgrades on User devices
Server room maintenance and cleanups
Assistance in the Implementation and Application of any new systems / application:
Install and configure computer hardware operating systems and applications
Support the roll out of any / all new applications
Setting up new users machinery, accounts and profiles
Testing and evaluating new technology
Managing own area of control:
At all times:
Ensure electronic and manual filing system is in place and maintained
Timely responses to email and telephonic messages.
Ensure that an accurate record is kept of all new matters received in the dept.

Keeping in touch with current security trends and applying measures to combat risk
