Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated IT Technician to join our team at Premier Hotels & Resorts in East London . The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience providing IT guidance and support within a Windows-based environment ; particularly within the hospitality industry . You will be responsible for maintaining system reliability, providing helpdesk and remote support, and ensuring smooth operation of all IT systems across the property. Duties and Responsibilities Provide technical support to staff and departments on hardware, software, and network-related issues. Install; configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, printers, and other peripherals . Perform network setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting ; including laying and testing network cables . Support and maintain hotel-specific systems ; including Property Management Systems (PMS), Point of Sale (POS), Time & Attendance, and other operational applications. Manage user accounts, permissions, and passwords within the Windows environment. Monitor and maintain server performance ; backups, and system updates. Provide remote and on-site helpdesk support to ensure minimal downtime and fast issue resolution. Assist with the installation and configuration of network devices ; including routers, switches, and access points. Ensure IT security and data integrity through best practices, antivirus management, and user training. Maintain accurate asset registers, support logs, and IT documentation . Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for support and maintenance when required. Conduct regular preventative maintenance on all IT equipment and systems. Provide after-hours or weekend support when required, especially during system upgrades or outages. Identify opportunities to improve IT processes and recommend innovative solutions that enhance operational efficiency. Ensure compliance with company policies ; IT standards ; and data protection regulations . Minimum Requirements Grade 12 (Matric) CompTIA A+ and N+ certifications Minimum 2 years of IT experience Experience within a hospitality IT environment Proven experience in helpdesk and remote support Own vehicle and valid driver's licence (essential) Knowledge & Technical Competencies Fully computer literate (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Gmail) Strong understanding of Ethernet networks and network troubleshooting Sound knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems (desktop and server) Familiar with virtual environments and related technologies Solid grasp of desktop and server hardware maintenance and configuration Ability to apply technical knowledge to meet and exceed service standards If you are a dedicated IT professional who thrives in a dynamic hospitality environment, we invite you to apply and become part of the Premier Hotels & Resorts family.
