Job Description

The IT Technician is responsible for maintaining and supporting the organisation's IT infrastructure, hardware, and user accounts. This includes device setup and maintenance, network administration, endpoint security, and end-user support across the company's digital tools and platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

Overseeing and maintaining the company's IT office infrastructure. Manage user accounts on internal and external systems as required. + Regularly maintain and audit user access records. Update internal asset tracking tools for IT assets, software, and account assignments. Install, configure, and update software and hardware across all user devices. Set up and support peripherals, including displays, access points, and communication devices. Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair IT infrastructure, user devices, and software systems. Provide technical support to employees both remotely and on-site. Keep detailed and accurate records of IT activities, incidents, and configurations. Manage procurement and inventory of IT hardware, software, and equipment. Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for support and procurement. Documenting IT processes, best practice methodologies, and internal procedures.

Key Skills & Competencies:

Solid understanding of network systems (Ubiquiti), desktop environments (Windows & Mac), and IT infrastructure. Experience with MDM and Cybersecurity platforms (e.g., ESET, Vanta). Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple support requests and prioritise effectively. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications

Diploma in IT or related field (or equivalent work experience). Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Microsoft, Cisco) are a plus. Minimum 2 years of experience in IT support or systems administration roles.
