Job Description
A passionate and experienced High School Teacher is required to teach Information Technology (IT). The role requires a proven track record of teaching excellence, experience with the IEB or CAPS curriculum, and a commitment to creating a supportive yet challenging learning environment for students.
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:
- Degree and PGCE or B.Education (specialised degree if teaching into a specialist subject)
- SACE certification and police clearance
- 5 years experience teaching the IEB curriculum at high school level (Grades 8-12)
- 5 years specialist subject teaching (Information Technology)
- Computer literacy and the ability to integrate IT suitably in teaching/learning
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons following IEB curriculum and educational standards
- Assess and evaluate student progress through assignments, tests, and examinations, providing constructive feedback and support
- Develop and implement lesson plans that adhere to the IEB guidelines and objectives
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and guardians about academic performance and areas for improvement
- Participate in school events, meetings, and committees as required
- Contribute to the school's culture of excellence, respect, and mutual support
