Pay@, a leading payment aggregator and provider of secure payment solutions is looking for an IT Support Technician to join their growing team based in Stellenbosch. The role requires a proactive and reliable individual with strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a customer-focused mindset. Excellent communication skills, the ability to explain technical issues clearly, flexibility to work after hours, and the capacity to work both independently and collaboratively are essential to the role.
Responsibilities will include:
Providing professional and timely IT support across hardware, software, and networks.
Troubleshooting and resolving issues on Windows, macOS, and Linux systems.
Maintaining IT infrastructure and documentation for knowledge continuity.
Attending to on-site technical issues and escalate where necessary.
Assisting remote users and ensuring secure remote access.
Participating in standby/on-call rotations for after-hours support.
Collaborating with Cyber and InfoSec teams to ensure compliance with security protocols.
Supporting onboarding/offboarding processes, device setup, and access provisioning.
Monitoring systems for security incidents and assisting with ISO/IEC 27001 aligned control.
Contributing to IT asset management and vendor coordination.
Any other relevant duties related to the role.
Minimum requirements:
Grade 12;
Relevant certifications (CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Support Technician);
Relevant tertiary IT qualification will be advantageous;
1-2 years' experience in a similar On-Site IT Support role;
Proficiency in troubleshooting across Windows, Mac and Linux environments;
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Azure, Fortinet, VOIP, and network protocols;
Experience in the Financial industry will be advantageous;
Fluent in written and verbal communication in English and a good understanding of Afrikaans. Any additional language will be seen as beneficial;
Willing to participate in standby/on-call duties and resolve urgent issues after hours;
Own reliable transport.
