THIS IS AN ENTRY LEVEL into the Medical Technology Field and would suit a candidate with a keen interest or studied in Medical / Biology / Anatomy, ideally having taken any of the science subjects at school or has recently graduated anything related to MEDICAL. We are urgently seeking a person within a strong technical background in IT to join a regional team being based in Bloemfontein but with availability to travel to other regions should the need arise. Our client is in the medical service industry offering cutting edge technology to the market and the primary job responsibilities associated with the appointment of this position are as follows:

• In theatre Clinical Technical support of image guided surgery systems.
• Collection of equipment and stock from suppliers and clients.
• Installation, Repair, Maintenance; Setup of Navigation Systems, Ultrasound Imaging, DICOM Images, Medical Planning Software and Displays; related equipment.
• Diagnostics, Fault finding and repair.
• Training of theatre staff, medical assistants; Radiology Staff.

The candidate MUST have 2+ years post studies in MEDICAL / SCIENCES DEGREE, working experience which must include engaging with clients in an IT related role AND OR customer related support role or similar role. The candidate will be trained to install, maintain and support a range of specialized medical hardware and software in a clinical environment. The initial employment will be for a probationary internship of 6 months. During this time the candidate will undergo intense online, hands on training and self-study material and be expected to train and obtain a Cranial / spinal certification, once obtained the basic will be increased to +- R27k. The candidate must be set up to work from home and have uninterrupted internet of which the employer will contribute towards. R22 000 Basic , + cell phone and a Laptop (medical aid on completion of probation - additional 50% covered by employer) + Petrol paid at AA rates. Own reliable transport is essential, our client will cover all petrol & running costs associated with use of their vehicle for business use in accordance with the Automobile Association recommended rates. The basic salary will also be reviewed at 6 months based on performance it could be adjusted. You must meet the following criteria in order for your application to be considered:

• AFRIKAANS FIRST LANGUAGE IS A MUST WITH conversational ENGLISH (training conducted in English)
• OWN reliable vehicle PLUS drivers
• Matric + Tertiary in MEDICAL / SCIENCES OR SIMILAR
• 2+ years customer service/focused experience
• 1+ years technical support experience (ideal but no essential)
• Presentable, professional and very well spoken with a clear credit and criminal record and excellent references and a highly mature and professional approach comfortable dealing with Neurosurgeons and alike.
