IT Support Technician

One of our clients, a sub-metering solution provider located in Sandton, Gauteng is currently seeking an IT Support Technician with a minimum of 2 years' experience in desktop or IT support. The successful candidate will provide technical assistance and administrative support to the IT Department to help meet operational deadlines and business objectives.

Minimum Requirements:

Matric. A+ and N+ Certifications (or equivalent). Minimum of 2 years' experience in IT/desktop support. Strong technical and problem-solving skills. Proficient in hardware and software support. Valid Driver's License and own transport. Good interpersonal and communication skills. Strong administrative and organisational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Provide first-line IT support to users and escalate issues when necessary. Perform daily hardware and software support for end-users. Configure and set up laptops, desktops, and workstations for new and existing users. Support and maintain printers, including managing consumables and stock rotation. Provide basic network support as required. Assist with the administration and tracking of IT projects. Manage IT asset inventory including the control of existing and new equipment. Process requisitions for new hardware and software. Assist with the onboarding and management of new users. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures across all IT processes. Maintain accurate records and documentation of all IT-related tasks and incidents.
