Job Description


The primary purpose of this role is to provide first line IT support to local users. Providing hardware & software support as & when needed, whist continually working with the centralised UK IT team to deliver an excellent internal service. Principle Duties Provide timely & effective technical support to end-users via various communication channels, addressing hardware & software issues, troubleshooting, & resolving technical concerns. Provide basic training to users on software applications, hardware usage, & best practices to enhance their technical proficiency. Promote & enforce IT security policies & best practices among users, mitigating potential security risks. Ensuring internal requests are logged through the appropriate IT Ticketing system & are actioned & resolved efficiently & to customer satisfaction. Liaising with the Head of IT & keeping them up to date with any necessary information, identifying any common issues locally or items for improvement. Keep track of IT inventory, including hardware assets & software licenses, & assist in procurement processes when needed. Documenting internal procedures & improving documentation accordingly. Any other Ad hoc IT related tasks depending on business needs. Stay updated with the latest technology trends & advancements in IT support, suggesting improvements to enhance the efficiency & effectiveness of the support process. Being a positive & friendly point-of-contact to the internal staff members. Competencies Technical Application: Ability to apply technical knowledge & understanding of IT Administration: Ability to effectively record & maintain data records Collaboration: Collaborate with other IT team members to address cross-functional issues & contribute to the overall improvement of IT infrastructure & operations. Prioritisation: Assess & prioritise incoming support requests, ensuring urgent matters are dealt with promptly & efficiently while maintaining a queue of less critical issues for resolution Desirables Good understanding of Microsoft 365 applications, including SharePoint, Exchange, Entra & Intune. Familiarity with cloud computing concepts & how Microsoft 365 leverages cloud services. Knowledge of Connex One & Workbooks CRM. Job Type: Full-time Salary: R18,000.00 - R25,000.00 per month
