We are seeking an IT Support professional to join our dynamic team in Roodepoort, Johannesburg, South Africa. You will play a crucial role in maintaining our organization's technology infrastructure and providing exceptional technical assistance to our employees.

• Respond to and resolve IT-related issues and requests from employees in a timely and efficient manner
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network problems across various platforms and devices
• Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, software applications, and peripherals
• Provide technical support through various channels, including phone, email, and in-person
• Manage and maintain user accounts, permissions, and access rights
• Collaborate with other IT team members to implement new technologies and improve systems
• Document technical solutions and maintain an up-to-date knowledge base
• Monitor system performance and implement proactive measures to prevent issues
• Assist in the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend improvements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, or a related field
• Proven experience in IT support or a similar role
• Strong knowledge of various operating systems, including Windows, macOS, and Linux
• Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues
• Familiarity with IT security best practices and data protection protocols
• Experience with IT management tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar systems
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication abilities, with the capacity to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
• Customer-focused mindset with a friendly and patient demeanor
• Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team environment
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and technologies
• Knowledge of database systems and basic networking concepts
• Experience with hardware and software installation and configuration

Additional Information
We are a 24/7 operation; the ideal candidate must be willing to work nights, onsite in Roodepoort.
