Job Description

Overview We are seeking an experienced and highly organised IT Support Engineer with a deep understanding of SCCM agent health, client remediation, and system compliance to join our team on a contract basis, working on-site at a customer location in Cape Town. The successful candidate will play a key role in planning, managing, and implementing corrective actions identified through a formal reporting process, in collaboration with and approved by the customer. Key Responsibilities

• Use SCCM to identify, track, and remediate compliance-related issues including patch management, software requirements and configuration enforcement.
• Monitor and maintain SCCM client health across all managed endpoints.
• Develop and implement automated remediation scripts (e.g., PowerShell) for common agent issues (e.g., WMI corruption, policy/request failures, service issues).
• Troubleshoot and resolve SCCM agent installation, communication, and policy/application deployment issues.
• Support and troubleshoot networking issues including LAN/WAN, routing, and connectivity.
• Administer, troubleshoot, and support various operating systems.
• Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports in Power BI to provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
• Manage and administer Microsoft 365 (M365) tenant settings, ensuring compliance with security and governance policies.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Power BI and M365 platform issues.
• Act as the project coordinator for IT-related tasks and improvements.
• Work closely with the customer and internal stakeholders to plan and deliver corrective actions.
• Document remediation procedures and provide knowledge transfer to support staff and stakeholders.
• Maintain documentation on project activities.
• Communicate effectively with all levels of management, technical staff, and end-users.
• Ensure all activities are carried out in line with relevant compliance requirements .

• Minimum of 2 years of experience SCCM, Intune or similar toolsets, with a focus on compliance remediation,
• Minimum 2 years' experience working with Power BI and Microsoft 365 tenant administration.
• Solid working knowledge of networking, and operating systems.
• 1 year experience in project management or project coordination.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills, adaptable to different audiences.
• Proven ability to work independently and within a team environment.
• Customer-focused mindset with a professional approach to service delivery.
• Experience in IT compliance or regulatory environments is a plus.
• Proficiency in Power BI.
• Strong understanding of data modelling, transformation, and visualization principles.
• Experience in administering Microsoft 365 environments.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 Security & Compliance Center and Endpoint Manager (Intune).
• Strong analytical and communication skills to interpret and convey technical data to non-technical users

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Microsoft 365 Certified: Fundamentals or Enterprise Administrator Expert
