A well established leading casket manufacturing Company seeks to employ the services of a IT Support Administrator/Technician /Software developer for the Head Office based in Phoenix, Industrial Park,4068.

Duties & Responsibilities



Collaborating with management, departments and customers to identify end-user requirements and specifications Designing algorithms and flowcharts to create new software programs and systems Producing efficient and elegant code based on requirements Testing and deploying programs and applications Troubleshooting, debugging, maintaining and improving existing software Compiling and assessing user feedback to improve software performance Observing user feedback to recommend improvements to existing software products Collaborate with a team of IT professionals to set specifications for new applications Design creative prototypes according to specifications Write high quality source code to program complete applications within deadlines Perform unit and integration testing before launch Conduct functional and non-functional testing Examines existing software and determines requirements for new/modified systems in the light of business needs Undertakes feasibility study to design software solutions Develops user interfaces Implements and evaluates software Plans and maintains database structures Writes operational documentation and provides subsequent support and training for users Developing and customizing software applications tailored to the needs of the Energy industry. Ensuring the integration of new software solutions with existing systems to enhance functionality and user experience. Conducting thorough testing and debugging of software systems to ensure stability and efficiency. Providing technical support and training to users, enabling effective use of software applications. Updating and maintaining documentation related to software processes and user manuals. Staying updated with the latest industry trends and technologies that can be adopted for system improvements Collaborate with IT teams and software developers to articulate software requirements and solutions. Monitor the performance of existing systems and propose enhancements. Assist in the rollout of new software tools, including overseeing the implementation process and resolving any issues that arise during deployment. Maintain a secure software environment, adhering to all cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive data. Provide timely updates and patches to software systems, ensuring they remain efficient and secure. Analyze user feedback and activity to enhance software usability and functionality

IT Support technician



Lead large IT projects, including the design and deployment of new IT systems and services Monitor performance of information technology systems to determine cost and productivity levels, and to make recommendations for improving the IT infrastructure Help define IT infrastructure strategy, architecture, and processes Analyse business requirements through discussion with Management across the organization to develop solutions for IT needs Assess vendors and develop test strategies for new hardware and software Troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to internal IT IT issues (i.e. system, software, equipment, licenses. Etc.)to the reported to Management timeously All IT procurement issues to be monitored , reviewed and reported to the Line Manager Conduct audits at all Branches and Head Office on IT equipment and processes. Compile detailed reports of all findings and submit to the Line Manager. Ensure all findings during audits are followed up with remedial action until closure of such finding. IT Audit Reports to be filed for record purposes. Anti-Virus software to be installed on all computers at Head Office and at branches. Monitor, manage and maintain all company servers ensuring it is functional at all times. Analyse server storage and capacity holding if adequate and make recommendations were necessary. Installing and implementing IT (software, hardware) systems, programs and equipment at Head Office and at all Branches Managing, monitoring and maintaining the Pastel Evolution Program for all users and on all computers were installed to ensure that it is working efficiently and problems are attended to timeously. Conducting reviews and checks on the Scan Man system making sure it is running efficiently. Responsible for managing and controlling IT hardware and software, infrastructure network and equipment. Inspections to be conducted on all Cameras ensuring that it is functional and recording. Camera faults and malfunction issues to be reported to management Conduct Camera Observation and prepare reports on request as and when required. Adhering to all company policies & procedures at all times. Travel as per work requirements as and when required Provide technical assistance regarding IT operating system issues and problems. Ensure all computer systems are working properly at all times. Discuss and refer unresolved issues to the management and provide useful suggestions. Maintain, retain and update a record of computer, network and system related problems and issues ensuring as far as reasonably possible measures are put in place to prevent re-occurrence. Troubleshoot any problems regarding software and hardware computer support. Ensure that all IT and computer related issues are resolved on time minimising and preventing unnecessary downtime. Maintaining computer components through repair and replacement using cost efficient methodologies. Setting up and assisting with technical issues during conference calls, skype and zoom meetings. Creating new user accounts and website accounts as per company and business needs and requirements. Ensuring that unused accounts are deleted or access is restricted to prevent any unauthorised use and illegal access to company information or systems. Ensure all PC's and systems are password protected. Control and manage user rights and privileges on computer systems and programs. Monitor irregular activities on the IT system and Network and report to Management Perform risk analysis and implement control measures, processes and procedures to mitigate risk. Ensure company and personnel data is not compromised adhering to the POPIA Act. Institute, implement and coordinate disciplinary action against employees where necessary that violate and transgress the company policies and procedures in reference to computer systems, programs and access to information. Install firewalls were necessary to prevent cyber and social media vulnerability and sabotage. Create and maintain a backup protocol for all CNC machinery Candidate must have SAGE EVOLUTION and SAGE VIP Experience and working knowledge.
