Information Technology (IT) develops and optimizes the engine that powers De Beer's digital and technology ecosystems, so our people can make life brilliant in the ways we work and operate. This is a tactical and operational role conducting and managing IT demand management, support, governance, analysis, project and vendor management services within the targeted domain. The role is a De Beers Group business expert with extensive knowledge of the Finance systems landscape inclusive of mobile workforce. They are aligned with IT and business objectives and operating model.
Key Tasks
NB! This role requires an experienced SAP FI/CO expert with 10+ years' experience

• Work safely and be committed to being a safety leader
• Work closely with process owners and key users across the global business, to understand business requirements and drive the building of quality solutions
• Understand and translate business requirements for financial processes into functional and technical specifications for the SAP FI module.
• Identify inefficiencies in financial processes and recommend system-based solutions that enforce the use of standard system functionality
• Provide coaching, training and advise on best practice and future use of technology and business process to targeted clients
• Collaborate with the Enterprise Application team to ensure seamless integration of the SAP FI module with other SAP modules
• Apply deep domain expertise to perform functional analysis, requirements definition and solution configuration and testing, in conjunction with delivery teams
• Develop functional specifications and setting of configurations in partnership with third party development teams
• Act as the key specialist point of contact for service providers and clients in problem solving and investigations related to service and technology incidents and requests
• Ensure the knowledge underpinning application/service delivery is documented, managed and maintained
• Identifies risk root causes and quantify potential business impact. Implements solutions to reduce level of exposure
• Manage and optimize demand to support efficient and accurate internal dependencies and 3rd party workforce management
• Develop reports and dashboards to analyze data for decision-making
• Contribute to SAP projects, from implementation and rollout to support and upgrades.
• Ensure finance systems, within scope, compliance with regulations
• Adhere to and participate in governance forums and processes
• Keep up to date with technology trends and developments and suggest enhancements

Qualifications

• Degree in Information Technology OR Finance
• SAP FI Certification is preferred
• S/4 HANA Financial Accounting certification is highly advantageous

Experience:

• 10+ years' experience as SAP FI/CO expert
• 5 years hands-on experience in SAP FI module in support of business processes
• 5 years' experience working in a multinational, multi-cultural environment
• 5 years IT Service Delivery, vendor management, project management
• Business case formulation, design and delivery of global enterprise solutions
• Stakeholder engagement and management
• Functional exposure to relevant applications and process

Knowledge & Technical Skills

• SAP Finance (overall solution)
• SAP Application Management and Development Tools (capabilities) Intelligent Automation / RPA Toolsets, Methods and Approaches BI/ Reporting Tools (capabilities and overall architecture)
• Ability to work across organisational and functional boundaries, with good influencing skills, excellent stakeholder and supplier management skills
• Overarching governance and quality management, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations
• New technologies and their impact on operational activities
• Business improvement tools and techniques
• Proven skills in setting goals, planning, prioritizing and administering work
• Catalyst to delivering improvements and change
• Capacity to learn quickly, understand complex business processes, and spot development areas
• Strong thinking and problem-solving skills. A self-starter who takes the initiative and follows through
