An opportunity has arisen for an IT Professional who wants to make a difference in people's lives to join a dynamic and supportive IT Solutions Team. In this exciting role, you will liaise both with the internal development team and third-party IT solution partners, work with the business community to exploit existing IT solutions, provide 2nd line support and manage implementations and upgrades. You will work with solutions as diverse as Medical, HR and Telephony Management solutions to Financial and Enterprise Document Management systems.
Vacancy exists for an IT Solutions Specialist - (Paterson Grade C3)
Main purpose of the role:
To identify, explore and implement new and support existing solutions and technology that best meet the organisation's requirements. To partner with the organisation to deliver on projects.
Key Responsibilities:

• Providing technical expertise in consultation with enterprise and solutions architects
• Evaluating and analysing solutions and information to optimise return on investment
• Designing new solutions, and proposing changes to existing solutions
• Performing system implementations, changes and upgrades of third-party solutions
• Providing consulting services to the business & project teams to ensure optimal solutions
• Working collaboratively with vendors to ensure services are delivered as expected
• Providing 2nd line support for systems supported by WCBS IT
• Extracting and analyzing data
• Assisting with and /or managing IT projects

Requirements
Minimum requirements and experience:

• National Diploma or Degree in Information Technology / Computer Science
• Minimum 5 years in a similar role
• Solid MS-SQL Skills and experience
• Solid MS-Excel Skills and experience
• 'NoSQL' Database Solutions (e.g. CouchDB) experience is advantageous
• ITIL V3 Certification/training is advantageous
• Valid Code B driver's license without endorsements is essential
