Overview
As an IT Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the planning, installation, configuration and monitoring of all production & staging environments. You will be required to deploy agile and scheduled software releases and changes to the environments. You will be required to on-board new products, deployments and customers.
In addition, you will also be responsible for incident prioritization, troubleshooting and resolution, providing solutions on all incidents while adhering to the high level of service our clients are accustomed to.
There will be an element of mentorship for junior engineers. There is also a requirement to be available for scheduled and emergency work outside of normal working hours.
Responsibilities

  • Monitor, manage, and maintain all Production and UAT environments to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Contribute to improving the product and team by driving collaboration, innovation, automation, and process enhancements, such as streamlining deployment workflows or introducing new monitoring tools.
  • Own technical projects by providing expertise, implementing robust solutions, minimising risk, and communicating key milestones and progress to relevant stakeholders.
  • Mentor and train new engineers and starters, offering guidance on systems, processes, and best practices.
  • Plan and execute software releases and configuration processes to minimise risk and product downtime, including performing pre-release checks and post-release monitoring.
  • Create and update documentation for team processes and supported products, ensuring materials are accurate, accessible, and up to date.
  • Deploy scheduled software releases and configuration changes, taking all necessary precautions to minimise risk and avoid product downtime.
  • Analyse and resolve logged incidents with a strong technical and commercial awareness, prioritising and responding effectively within agreed SLA targets and documenting resolutions.
  • Resolve customer queries or concerns within agreed response times, ensuring solutions are documented and communicated clearly to achieve high customer satisfaction.
  • Achieve key performance indicators and customer satisfaction metrics, such as system uptime, incident response times, and positive feedback scores.
  • Be available for support, deployments, and escalations outside of normal working hours as required, in accordance with team schedules and business needs.
Qualifications
Essential:
SQL Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE
Azure [AZ-900] or other relevant cloud platform qualification
Desirable:
Experience automating build and/or release pipelines
Experience of deploying to gaming environments
Experience in customer service
Azure [AZ-104] or other relevant cloud platform qualification
