The above vacancy exists in the MIS department at our Vanderbijlpark facility, reporting to the MIS Operations Manager. Qualified candidates who meet the requirements of the role are invited to apply.
This role is responsible for doing all 1st line support and service desk for the Company. The key responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
1. Providing 1st Line support on Hardware and software, Desktop, Laptop, Printers, JDE, Microsoft AD & Exchange online, Citrix, Networks, Telephony and Mimecast.
2. Mobile Devices Management & 3G/VPN Support.
3. Responsible for 1st Line Security Support.
4. Backup support for Senior Network/Server Engineers and Service Desk.
5. Ensure compliance with information security and governance and conform to facility safety procedures
1. Minimum qualification of Matric with Mathematics.
2. A Diploma in Information Technology or equivalent is required.
3. A+ / N+ Certification is mandatory.
4. Certification in MCSE / MS ITP is essential.
5. ITIL Foundation Certification is advantageous.
6. At least 3 years of experience in support for Windows OS and MS Office suites, including Office 365.
7. Minimum of 2 years experience in administrative support for Windows Server (20082022), Active Directory, Exchange Online, Telephony and Cisco/Fortinet Networks.
8. Proficiency and computer literacy in the following tools: MS SQL, MS Access, MS Visio, MS Projects, MS Office (strong expertise), Email platforms, Internet Explorer, Edge, Google Chrome, Lotus Notes, JD Edwards, Adobe Acrobat, and Citrix.
9. Strong communication skills are required.
10. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
