We are now looking for an IT Performance Project within our IT department based in Bryanston.
As an IT Performance Project Manager, you are accountable for the operational effectiveness and efficiency of IT in the Market. This role acts as the deputy/back up for Market IT Manager. The role is responsible for managing all IT capabilities for Market while supporting planning and IT Organisation Model transformation. These IT capabilities include IT Planning, Governance, Portfolio Management, Performance Management, Capability Building and workforce planning, Vendor Management, IT Operating Model Maturity and Change Management, and the operational quality of IT (ways of working, processes, quality, compliance and best practices for crisis and major incident eradication.) The role focuses on ensuring that the IT organization "does the right things" through strategy and governance, as well as "does things right" through organizational and operational model transformation and continuous improvement.
A day in the life of an IT Technical & Production FRM:
IT Planning and Governance -
Prepares the IT strategy/MBS and plans and the IT Organisation transformation, the relevant dashboards and updates, and is responsible for Performance Management reporting of all Market IT functions and capabilities. (acts as the 'transparency guardian')
Responsible for IT Capability Building and Workforce Planning, Vendor delivery management and associated dashboards
Responsible for driving focus and prioritization within the IT organization through establishing planning and governance principles and processes including the market investment review processes
Responsible for directing the preparation, review and consolidation of business reviews, cross product stream proposals and budgets, IT assets review, process for overall staffing for the market organization
In touch with IT trends and planned performance needs for alignment with business strategy
Responsible for shared capabilities such as Enterprise Architecture, IT Continuous Improvement, Change Management, Capability building and Workforce Planning, Performance Management, Portfolio Management and Quality Improvement, New delivery models and Vendor Management
Drive Market IT goals and Key IT objectives including IT Strategic initiatives such as Sustainability, Workforce of the future, IT Tech foundations for the future and agree strategies to deliver for market with key market stakeholders
Operational effectiveness and efficiency -
Oversees the development and maintenance of agile and practical "just enough" IT policies, ways of working, processes, procedures, methodologies, and governance to ensure the IT organization delivers value to the enterprise
Reviews and facilitates IT Value delivery and portfolio optimization across the market
Drives IT Performance Management for the Market to ensure sustained performance, continuous development and continuous improvement plans and synergies where available
Responsible for the professionalization of all IT Market Workforce (through Capability Building and Communities of Practices) and the active knowledge management and practices improvement of the IT organization
Oversees IT Workforce Planning including IT People development, organization model evolution and the best balance between internal staff and external services to support market plans and portfolio
Ensures the efficient and effective use of IT resource pools and assets
Regularly reviews IT costs and cost structures of market IT product streams and IT organization so that the financial implications of IT performance is communicated to the Market IT Manager and Zone and Market Leadership
Oversees the execution of high-impact, enterprise-wide, strategic programs or initiatives.
IT BCM and Disaster recovery management
Can assume full Market IT Manager responsibilities (or those responsibilities as directed) during their absence
Stakeholder engagement -
Works with the Market IT Manager, Stream FRMs and business leadership teams, providing broad insight to IT Performance and IT capabilities in support of market business decisions
Advocates transformation and respect for culture attributes of the market
Drives and facilitates effective collaboration and communications between the Market IT and Market functional service providers
Vendor Management -
Acts as sponsor or escalation point for critical partner delivery situation on request of FRMs, market leadership or relevant teams
Coach Product Group teams about appropriate service expectations around timing, execution of strategy and delivery
Ensure Vendor Performance Management reviews and practices are completed
Risk management -
As required, directs risk evaluation and compliance management processes
As required, directs crisis and major incident management as well as large scale transformation contributions such as mergers, acquisitions or divestitures
Leadership -
Develop high performing teams and in alignment with the People process cycle by
Selecting talent: recruit and onboard people and plan capabilities for the future
Developing people: coach, define effective (70-20-10) development plan and asses talent, building the right capabilities for the team and for the organization long-term success
Driving performance: empower and enable people, give and receive feedback, evaluate and differentiate performance, constantly challenge the set up organization to ensure its results and effectiveness
Recognizing achievements: give and receive recognition, reward performance
What will make you successful:
Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience
7+ years experience in IT
A minimum of 3 years of leadership responsibilities
Experience in business/industry (beyond IT), managing cross-functional teams or projects, and influencing senior management and key stakeholders
Understanding of agile / iterative product development life cycle (design thinking, lean start-up), focus group management, customer journey creation, competitive research, customer research
Experience in effective communication at different level in the organisation and in English
Preference to have worked in a global environment and with virtual teams
