JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job Title:IT Online Solutions Lead
Employment Type:Permanent, On-site

JOB SCOPE & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with the business support development team to receive and prioritise briefs from business to design, deliver and support business applications, and deliver each element to specifications to support business requirements across the business.
  • Provides technical expert advice for any development, integration, and other technical support issues around mobile solutions for business operations.
  • Oversees the development, new design concepts, perspectives, and ideas, defining and updating mobile technical specification requirements to meet business requirements.
  • Facilitate integrations between IT and business requirements, translating business requirements to technical requirements for mobile applications and products.
  • Facilitate brainstorming sessions to share new design concepts, perspectives, and ideas, defining and updating IT technical specification requirements to meet business requirements.
  • Collaborate with the team in constructing the concept, plan, and layout, ensuring the team understands and follows existing standards.
  • Oversee the technologies, tools and techniques used within the team and resolve escalated technical issues.
  • Manage the framework, system architecture and governance standards with regards the technical design and development of various IT applications, in alignment with strategic objectives and plans.
  • Supervise the team in designing and developing components for various business applications systems to enable internet/intranet applications in line with best development practices and ensuring the delivery of quality software.
  • Quality assure and test solutions before delivery to the business.
  • Manage the relationship with the support team around any obstacles, challenges, or delays.
  • Report on completed projects, costings and progress against pre-defined budgets and deadlines.
  • Be an ideas bank of new innovation and concepts to be used as a foundation for various business requirements to improve system / application performance.
  • Commission, edit, and test solutions developed by third-party service providers when required ensuring it meets business specifications and standards.
  • Supervise staff conditions of employment, e.g., attendance, absenteeism, leave, adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Conduct performance management with the team, including the identification of employee training needs, on the job training and coaching to close developmental gaps and build succession for a talent pipeline.
  • Manage SLA to deliver to internal customers around technical requirements and support.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

Qualification:
  • BTech or Equivalent.
  • Accredited vendor training on various programming languages.
Experience:
  • Minimum of 10 years experience within the IT industry including 5 years supporting and administering web and mobile applications or similar business application solutions.
  • Experience with supporting Oracle & SQL databases.
  • Advanced knowledge on various programming languages.
  • Competence in the major mobile operating systems, i.e., Android, iOS, and Windows.
  • Experience in business process enablement and technical support for large scale application solutions.
Work conditions and special requirements
  • Travel to all units required on a regular basis.
  • May be required to work outside of normal working hours, in line with operational requirements (including weekends, public holidays).

Know-how:
  • Requires specialised knowledge of techniques, equipment and processes relating to Gaming technology and application within the business environment.
  • Short term planning (6-12 months) involves conducting the planning of activities to meet and optimise processes in the Gaming value chain.
  • Organise, plan, and prioritise tasks for self and team to ensure that work gets done efficiently and within budget constraints.
  • Interact with business clients and team - influencing, motivating, and encouraging specific behavior.
Problem-solving:
  • Deal with diverse problems in own area, using judgment and discretion to resolve them.
  • Interprets customer requirements in terms of services available and the applicable constraints.
  • Monitor changes in the environment and is quick to act upon potential opportunities, risks, and challenges.
  • Takes initiative in making decisions which are made within well-defined, somewhat diversified procedures and limits of authority.
  • Considers all the facts, options, and possible outcomes prior to making decisions.
  • Analyse and diagnose performance issues and challenges and offer a solution in line with technical knowledge.
  • Deal with diverse problems in own area, using judgment and discretion to resolve them.
Accountability:
  • Solve a wide range of queries related to service, dealing with these sensitively and within operational/procedural limitations.
  • Arbitrate / resolve any difficult or escalated complaints / issues.
  • Monitors progress, results and service offered to the business.
  • Optimise and streamline existing systems and processes to support the business in terms of cost efficiency, managing risks and improving the service offering.
  • There are guidelines/ policies and procedures in place to be followed, but the incumbent needs constantly consider ways of improving productivity and cost efficiencies.
