My client, a leading and well known Retailer based in Montague gardens requires a competent and experienced IT Manager to join their team.
Overview:
As the IT manager, you will work closely with a small team of IT staff to ensure that the company uses relevant and the up-to-date technology to run our business at Head Office and remote stores.
The IT manager will be responsible for ensuring that the systems and hardware used by our company are compatible, secure, and scalable, and that all systems are available each day. You will also be responsible for managing our internal network and providing support for our staff.
Job Qualifications and Skill Sets:
xc2xb7 Preferably a bachelors degree in IT, computer science, or a related field
xc2xb7 A minimum of 5 years of experience in hands-on IT management
xc2xb7 Willingness to be deeply involved in systems problem resolution
xc2xb7 Ability to work with a small, dedicated IT team
xc2xb7 Ability to communicate clearly with external systems suppliers
xc2xb7 Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership
xc2xb7 Strong teamwork and communication skills
xc2xb7 Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
xc2xb7 Knowledge of industry-standard computer hardware and software systems
xc2xb7 Experience with network administration
xc2xb7 Experience managing on-premises servers, storage area networks (SAN), and network-attached storage (NAS) devices
xc2xb7 Experience with e-commerce platforms and technologies
xc2xb7 Familiarity with our software platforms including Microsoft 365 (e.g., Power BI), AWS Cloud
xc2xb7 Strong understanding of data governance, analytics and BI
Responsibilities:
xc2xb7 Monitor uptime of existing systems & and communicate resolution plan when failures occur
xc2xb7 Ensure the reliability, security and scalability of the companys technology infrastructure
xc2xb7 Assist the IT department head in planning the installation and maintenance of computer systems, hardware, software, and networks
xc2xb7 Lead IT projects and oversee the implementation of new IT initiatives ensuring they are done timely, cost effectively and meets the business needs.
xc2xb7 Develop and implement policies related to network security, disaster recovery, and IT infrastructure
xc2xb7 Analyse IT resource utilization and develop strategies to optimize performance
xc2xb7 Establish, measure, and define IT goals to maintain the IT roadmap
xc2xb7 Monitor and analyse the success of IT initiatives and projects and continually evaluate new technologies and tools for the company
xc2xb7 Manage development projects to integrate new technologies into existing systems
xc2xb7 Perform ongoing support and maintenance of all hardware, software, and network components via internal and external support structures
xc2xb7 Establish a security policy to protect company information and resources
Team Leadership & development:
o Lead and mentor the IT team, providing guidance and fostering professional growth.
o Ensure the IT department operates efficiently, meeting service levels promptly.
o Direct the activities of the help desk to ensure the IT needs of users are met.
o Determine the needs of and co-ordinate the training of IT staff
