Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Manager to join our growing organisation. This role is critical in ensuring robust IT governance, regulatory compliance, information security, data analytics, and operational productivity.

The successful candidate will take ownership of compliance with ISO27001 (ISO2007) and POPIA, oversee our Microsoft 365 environment, manage the effective delivery of our outsourced CRM platform, and support the organisation's data analytics and AI-driven decision-making capability.

Key Responsibilities

IT Governance, Security & Compliance

Ensure full compliance with ISO27001 / ISO2007 standards and the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). Develop, implement, and maintain IT governance frameworks, policies, procedures, and controls. Administer and secure the Microsoft 365 environment, including Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and security & compliance tooling. Maintain a strong cybersecurity posture, including identity management, access controls, data protection, monitoring, and incident response. Coordinate IT audits, risk assessments, and remediation activities, ensuring continuous improvement and audit readiness. Provide IT leadership, guidance, and support to internal stakeholders.

Productivity & Collaboration Enablement

Partner with the Operational Manager to design, enhance, and optimise SharePoint solutions that improve productivity, collaboration, workflow automation, and audit traceability. Support secure document management, record-keeping, and retention in line with FAIS and POPIA requirements.

CRM & Vendor Management

Oversee and manage the relationship with the outsourced CRM service provider, ensuring performance, security, availability, and contractual compliance. Apply working knowledge of C# and SQL to: Engage effectively with CRM developers Review and validate technical changes Validate data structures and integrations Support reporting accuracy and system integrity

Data Analytics & AI Enablement

Take ownership of the organisation's data analytics environment, ensuring data integrity, security, and availability for reporting and decision-making. Support the development and governance of data models, dashboards, and analytics outputs (e.g. operational, sales, compliance, and performance reporting). Work with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for AI models and automation, including: Predictive analytics Performance optimisation Lead allocation and operational efficiency Ensure that all analytics and AI initiatives comply with POPIA, data-minimisation principles, and information-security controls. Oversee data flows between CRM systems, reporting platforms, and analytics tools to ensure accuracy, traceability, and audit readiness.

Minimum Requirements

Proven experience as an IT Manager or Senior IT Specialist (minimum 3+ years). Strong working knowledge of ISO27001 / ISO2007 and POPIA implementation and governance. Hands-on experience administering and securing Microsoft 365. Solid understanding of information security, risk management, and regulatory compliance. Practical knowledge of C# and SQL, particularly in supporting and overseeing CRM systems. Experience managing third-party / outsourced technology vendors, including CRM platforms. Exposure to data analytics, reporting platforms, or AI-driven solutions will be a strong advantage. Demonstrated ability to translate technical and data-driven insights into business value.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Information Systems (with data/analytics modules). ISO27001 Lead Implementer / Auditor certification (or equivalent security certification) Microsoft 365 Administration certification Security, governance, or compliance certifications will be a strong advantage Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate
