Job Summary
A leading media company in Cape Town is looking for an experienced IT Manager to oversee all aspects of information technology (excluding studio operations) at their station. This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially astute IT professional to drive stability and efficiency by managing the office and on-air network, ensuring staff are adequately equipped and supported, overseeing technical resources, vendor relationships, security, budget, and disaster recovery planning. If you have a relevant certificate or degree, at least 5 years of experience in a similar role, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the office and on-air network infrastructure and connectivity.
• Ensure all staff are equipped with necessary hardware and software, and provide timely technical support.
• Manage technical resources and support services to maintain operational stability.
• Develop and implement strategies for swift recovery from system downtime.
• Cultivate and manage relationships with external IT vendors and suppliers.
• Administer and control access to facilities and systems.
• Manage the IT budget effectively.
• Implement and maintain security protocols for the office environment.
• Develop and regularly update the IT risk plan and disaster recovery procedures.

Requirements:

• Hold a relevant certification or degree in an IT-related field.
• Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in an equivalent IT management role.
• Demonstrate strong collaborative skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
• Capable of working independently and managing tasks without constant supervision.
