iqx the Technology Division of iqbusiness is seeking the IT Infrastructure & Application Support Manager (L2) who will be responsible for leading second-line support teams to ensure the stability, availability, and performance of software applications and underlying infrastructure. This role bridges operational support and engineering teams, providing deep technical oversight, incident leadership, and continuous service improvement across production environments.



MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS, EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE





8+ years' experience in software infrastructure, systems engineering, or integration roles. Diploma in relevant field (NQF 5) Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field Demonstrated experience working with cross-functional teams and vendor partners. Strong experience with middleware (e.g., WebLogic, WebSphere, Apache Kafka, RabbitMQ, or Azure Service Bus). Experience with APIs, system integration, and secure data exchange Hands-on experience with key technologies such as Microsoft Active Directory, Azure, IBM WebSphere, Terraform, Ansible, and ServiceNow, with a solid understanding of API integration and middleware orchestration platforms including Azure Service Bus and Apache Kafka. Strong middleware experience (WebLogic/WebSphere/Kafka/RabbitMQ/Azure Service Bus). API design and integration experience (REST/SOAP/GraphQL). Practical, senior-level experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Azure AD, including domain design, forest architecture, GPO development, identity federation, and hybrid identity integration.

Experience in DR planning, continuity execution, and DR testing cycles aligned to organizational frameworks.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



The Infrastructure Software Specialist is responsible for architecting, integrating, and supporting enterprise middleware, API platforms, and directory services including the design, implementation, and optimization of Microsoft Active Directory and Azure AD environments. The role further ensures robust disaster recovery (DR) and IT continuity capabilities across the organization. It supports the design, automation, and operational integrity of software infrastructure services, ensuring secure, scalable, and resilient environments. The Software Infrastructure Manager is responsible for managing the full lifecycle of software infrastructure, including middleware platforms, directory services, automation frameworks, and enterprise application integration. This individual will act as the critical bridge between internal technology teams and external vendors, ensuring cohesive architecture, operational efficiency, and secure systems The jobholder is responsible for his/her own safety as well as for others according to the Mine Health and Safety Act.
