IT Business Partner Information Technology
Cape Town - Western Cape - South Africa
Our client, a leading multinational pharmaceutical company, is seeking an experienced IT Business Partner to join their Digital team. This role focuses on Business Intelligence (BI), IT-business partnering, and driving technology-enabled business solutions to support commercial success and sales force effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted advisor and primary IT contact for allocated business units.
• Develop, enhance, and maintain BI models and applications to support sales and marketing teams.
• Conduct analysis, reporting, and market research to derive insights and support decision-making.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand requirements, define solutions, and drive adoption of BI tools.
• Partner with IT teams to ensure systems are optimised, aligned with business priorities, and compliant with industry standards.
• Identify and introduce new technologies (AI/ML, analytics tools) to improve efficiencies and competitive advantage.
• Manage data quality across multiple platforms and work with external vendors (IQVIA, Repwise, etc.) to ensure accuracy.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelors Degree in Business Informatics, Information Systems, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum 3 years experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Strong Business Intelligence expertise: Advanced Excel, BI tools (QlikView, Power BI, etc.), and MS SQL development.
• Hands-on experience in data modelling, analysis, and reporting.
• Programming skills in Python or R advantageous.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to bridge technical and business needs.
