The company is currently seeking an IT Auditor to join its team. This role is responsible for helping safeguard the organisation's data, systems, and infrastructure by evaluating and assessing technology environments to ensure they are secure, efficiently managed, and compliant with applicable policies, regulations, and frameworks.
The successful candidate will contribute to strengthening governance, risk management, and internal control processes through a structured and data-driven audit approach, ensuring that systems support accurate decision-making and operational excellence.

Duties:

• Perform independent IT risk assessments to highlight areas requiring assurance and mitigation.
• Reviewing system implementations or enhancements before and after deployment.
• Assessing IT management policies and procedures, such as change management, business continuity, disaster recovery, and information security, to ensure adequate controls are in place.
• Evaluating application and IT general controls and testing compliance with established standards.
• Conducting systems development audits to ensure alignment with development standards.
• Auditing systems and applications to confirm they are controlled, reliable, efficient, secure, and effective.
• IT security audits, identifying vulnerabilities and verifying mitigation measures.
• Providing project assurance to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and risk mitigation.
• Reviewing cloud governance and maturity to ensure compliance with policies and best practices.
• Offer guidance and practical recommendations on IT risk management, with a focus on applications, infrastructure, and security.
• Prepare clear, balanced internal audit reports, supported by evidence, to inform management decisions on key IT risks.

Job Experience & Skills Required:
Qualifications:

• Matric (Grade 12)
• Bachelor's degree or higher in Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field

Experience:

• Minimum of 4 years of IT auditing experience, preferably within the eCommerce sector
• Proven experience working collaboratively in cross-functional teams to achieve shared objectives
• Strong track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously, delivering on time and within scope
• Hands-on experience with audit software, ISO standards, and basic finance/accounting principles
• Extensive knowledge of IT auditing standards, requirements, and methodologies
• Solid understanding of IT risk and control frameworks
• Experience across multiple IT domains, including software development, operating systems, database management, and information/network security, with the ability to identify vulnerabilities
• Hands-on experience in cybersecurity practices and assessments.
