It Auditor (immediate)

Job Description
We're looking for a skilled IT Auditor with 3-5 years of auditing experience to join our team in Fourways on either a sub-contract or fixed-term contract basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess the effectiveness of IT general controls (ITGCs) and application controls, to ensure that systems are secure, reliable, and compliant with regulations.
- Test access controls, change management, backup and recovery, and IT operations to support external and internal audit requirements.
- Identify potential risks in IT systems, networks, and processes that could affect the accuracy and reliability of financial or operational data.
- Review the design, development, and implementation of new IT systems to ensure that adequate controls are built in.
- Provide audit evidence and documentation to External Auditors for reliance on IT controls in financial statement audits.
- Verify that data privacy, cybersecurity, and compliance measures meet regulatory and company standards.
- Prepare clear audit reports summarizing findings, risks, and recommendations for remediation.
- Track and verify the implementation of agreed-upon corrective actions.
- CISA qualification (essential)
- Knowledge of SAP, Oracle, and other ERPs would be useful
- Proven experience in performing IT general control (ITGC) reviews for external audit reliance
- Based in Johannesburg or Cape Town
- Immediate availability - to complete client engagement deliverables
