This role supports the protection and assurance of the organisation's IT systems, data integrity and technology governance.
The successful candidate will evaluate IT risks, assess control effectiveness and provide recommendations that strengthen system security, resilience and reliability.
This position requires a blend of IT governance understanding, audit methodology experience and the ability to engage with technical and business stakeholders.

Duties:

• Perform IT risk assessments to identify assurance priorities.
• Conduct IT audits in line with the approved audit plan.
• Assess IT General Controls (ITGC) and application controls across systems.
• Perform reviews of system implementations, enhancements and change management.
• Evaluate business continuity, disaster recovery and information security controls.
• Conduct system development audits and cloud governance maturity reviews.
• Identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Draft audit findings and reports that are evidence-based and actionable.
• Provide guidance on IT risk and controls relating to applications, infrastructure and security.

Job Experience & Skills Required:
Qualifications:

• Matric (Grade 12)
• Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Cyber Security, Computer Science or similar.

Experience:

• Minimum 4 years' IT audit experience (preferably in eCommerce or technology-driven environments).
• Working knowledge of IT auditing frameworks and standards.
• Exposure to cyber security practices and risk mitigation.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong understanding of software development processes, operating systems, network and database structures.
• Ability to identify system vulnerabilities and assess control adequacy.
• Project coordination and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Strong report-writing and communication capability.
• Experience with audit software is advantageous.
• Knowledge of gambling, betting platforms or digital gaming industries is advantageous.
