Job Description


Operational functions

  • Operate as the lead point of contact for all matters specific to DCX customers.
  • Sell the Datacentrix Value Proposition offerings into the region to assigned clients.
  • Sell the Datacentrix Value Proposition offerings into new earmarked clients.
  • Identifies opportunities by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements, marrying up solutions offerings with business problems.
  • Locates or proposes potential business deals by contacting potential clients, discovering, and exploring opportunities.
  • Screens potential business deals by analysing market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financials; Full understanding of the sales cycle required.
  • Manage tender responses by coordinating internal and external resources to ensure the best response is submitted on time
  • Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist with high severity requests or issue escalations as needed
  • Post-sale, liaise between customers and cross-functional internal and external teams to ensure the timely and successful delivery of DCX solutions according to customer needs.
  • Pre-sale, liaise between cross-functional internal teams and vendor/suppliers/partners to ensure the timely and successful delivery of DCX solution proposals which is in line with customer requirements.
Business Development
  • Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; and close agreements to maximize profit
  • Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Direct and manage ongoing customer relationships to ensure total customer satisfaction with Datacentrix, and further develop business based on opportunities identified at the customer site
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting Vendor relationships
Accountabilities and performance measures
  • Attainment of set GP Target
  • Establish an opportunity pipeline that will ensure the attainment of the set sales GP target
  • Develop and maintain knowledge and skill regarding the industry, technology, and customersxe2x80x99 business. Complete prescribed training successfully and on time.
  • Prepare reports and accurate plans on account status
  • Accurate forecasting and track key account metrics (e.g. weekly, monthly, quarterly sales results and annual forecasts)
