We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Support Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network and fibre equipment configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Job Summary: 123NET FIBRE, a leading Internet Service Provider, is seeking an experienced Support Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for configuring, installing, and maintaining routers, Wi-Fi devices, Wi-Fi links, and other network and fibre equipment, as well as providing exceptional customer support. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in a similar role, a strong understanding of networking and fibre technologies, and excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Responsibilities:

  • Configure, install and maintain routers, Wi-Fi devices, Wi-Fi links, and other network and fibre equipment
  • Provide exceptional customer support, addressing inquiries and resolving technical issues promptly
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose network and fibre-related problems
  • Follow company rules and regulations to ensure the quality and security of network infrastructure
  • Collaborate with team members to optimize network performance and customer satisfaction
  • Assist with network expansion projects and upgrades as needed
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and best practices
Requirements:
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within an Internet Service Provider
  • Strong understanding of networking and fibre technologies
  • Proven ability to configure routers, Wi-Fi devices, Wi-Fi links, and other network equipment
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, Network+, etc.) are a plus
  • Minimum education level: Grade 12 /N4 (Matric)
Technical Requirements: Configuration of routers (all brands). Able to troubleshoot and diagnose network-related issues. Configuration of Ubiquiti wireless devices. Basic Mikrotik setup and configuration.
