Job Summary
Our client is looking for an Irrigations and Chemical Spray Assistant to join their team in Stanford, Western Cape. This role is based on a farm where the successful candidate will support the irrigation and crop protection operations, ensuring efficient water usage and proper chemical application to support healthy plant growth. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role, be physically fit, and willing to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Responsibilities:
Assist with the setup, operation, and maintenance of irrigation systems
Monitor water usage and ensure even distribution across crops
Support the preparation and application of chemical sprays under supervision
Safely handle agricultural chemicals and follow safety protocols
Conduct routine checks to identify irrigation or crop issues
Report any irregularities or system malfunctions to supervisors
Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of equipment and work areas
Requirements:
1-2 years of experience in irrigation and/or chemical spraying
Ability to work independently and follow instructions accurately
Physically fit and able to perform manual outdoor work
Must reside in or around Stanford, Western Cape
Basic understanding of agricultural practices and safety standards
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends if required Benefits:
