Job Description

The Model Portfolio Team is a dynamic team within the platform, which focuses their servicing efforts on the administration and servicing of model portfolio providers which may include fund administration responsibilities.
Responsibilities:

  • Provides a holistic service to Model Portfolio Providers who manage model portfolios on behalf of their clients, as well as to Independent Financial Advisors with a FAIS Category II license managing model portfolios for their clients
  • This includes managing and controlling restructures, rebalances and fund replacements including the relevant communication, monitoring, and reconciling of requests/instructions
  • Managing and controlling any bulk requests for Model Portfolio restructure and rebalances by managing the client's expectations and monitoring progress of bulk transaction processing
  • Build and maintain relationships with all internal and external stakeholders
  • Proactively facilitate communication via telephonic and/or e-mail interactions thereby keeping clients informed regarding any activity around their queries
  • Calculate and check incorrectly processed transactions to determine corrective actions which may result in a financial impact to the business
  • Support to Independent Financial Advisors and investor base
  • Liaise with data management and reporting team
  • Offer web support through regular training for our client's model portfolio providers on the online platform capabilities
  • Offer support on any web enhancements and initiatives which may require input and testing
  • Technical assistance on unit trust instruments both to sales, advisor services and other internal stakeholders
  • Review of pricing errors
  • Project management of special instructions on the investment platform which may cover a range of fund managers
Managing all aspects relating to unit trust funds on the platform:
  • Loading
  • Amendments
  • Notification of changes
  • Agreements
  • Management company reporting
  • Recoupment invoicing to management companies
  • Negotiation of adding and removal of funds on the platform
Internal business analysis and reporting:
  • Run daily, weekly, and monthly reporting to management companies, model portfolio providers and independent financial advisors
  • Perform analysis of ageing items in terms of our service level agreements in place
  • Analysis of queries received to determine possible trends and create efficiencies
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 -7 years industry experience, particularly in the LISP environment
  • Minimum of 3 + years' experience in servicing Independent Financial Advisors would be preferable
  • 3 - year relevant Diploma or Bachelor/Commercial degree will be an advantage
  • Advanced experience in Excel (including pivot tables, macros) and other reporting tools
  • Business Analysis qualification an advantage
  • In-depth experience and insight to Investment Platform Model Portfolio offering
