How you'll role
The Investment Associate will play a critical role in supporting the fund management and advisory services of the Real Estate Technology and Sustainability Fund I. This position involves a variety of responsibilities including investment appraisals, deal execution, fundraising, portfolio management, and fund administration support. The candidate will bring strong analytical skills, a passion for venture capital, and a keen interest in start-up ecosystems. The role promises professional growth and the opportunity to become an Authorised Representative of the firm.
What you'll do

  • Conduct market research and industry analysis to identify investment opportunities
  • Evaluate and perform due diligence on investment prospects, including financial modelling, valuation, and risk assessments
  • Prepare investment committee memorandums for internal and external stakeholders
  • Participate in meetings with entrepreneurs, clients, and co-investors to assess deals
  • Assist in transaction execution including legal processes
  • Engage with portfolio company management teams to monitor performance and progress
  • Facilitate connections for portfolio companies with customers, partners, and advisors
  • Support fundraising efforts and prepare investor materials and presentations
  • Conduct research and maintain a database of potential investors
  • Assist in managing the funds outsourced administration function and investor report distributions
  • Provide administrative support, including preparation of reports, meeting coordination, and managing compliance
What you'll need
  • Bachelors degree in finance, business, economics or related field; CA(SA), MBA or CFA preferred
  • 2-5 years of experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, consulting, or related fields
  • Understanding of real estate and/or technology sector is a plus
  • Strong analytical and financial modelling skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • High integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail
