Who wexe2x80x99re looking for A rare opportunity has arisen for an Investment Associate within our Investments department. We are looking for intelligent, high-performing individuals. Strong academic record, preferably technical degrees and 2+ years investment experience is a must. You are likely to be someone that enjoys taking complete ownership over workstreams, you have an eye for detail, and you arenxe2x80x99t afraid of questioning existing ways of doing things. PLEASE NOTE: we are a UK company with a distributed team. This role is remote so you can be located anywhere in South Africa (although we have a slight preference for Cape Town). Requirements:

• Technical/finance degree
• 2+ years investment experience at an asset manager, investment fund, family office, investment bank or similar
• Strong financial/investment background
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and modelling capabilities
• Excellent written and overall communication skills
• Demonstrable experience in at least one asset class with working knowledge of other areas or willingness to learn
• Comfortable doing deep research
• Not afraid of having original or contrarian opinions
• CFA preferable but not required

• Conducting due diligence on new opportunities across different asset classes
• Managing different deals at different stages
• Conducting deep research on new investment areas
• Presenting to the Investment Committee and making recommendations
• Writing investment memorandums
• Financial modelling
