Investigator (psira Registered)

Job Description
1.1 Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent (NQF level 4).
1.2 PSiRA registered, minimum grade C.
1.3 Any further education in policing / investigations will be highly beneficial.
1.4 Three (3) to five (5) years crime investigations experience.
1.5 Valid code 8 drivers licence.
- Must either reside, be willing to relocate or live in a 30km radius of Witbank.
- Must be willing to work shifts as operations could also happen during the evening.
- The successful candidate must work well in a team as the Witbank branch is a small branch that is very family orientated and depend on each other to get the work done.
- The candidate must have good communication skills and must be computer literate.
- Must have served with the SAPS for+/- 5 years with investigative experience. It would be beneficial to have experience in coal switching as well as investigative experience in non-ferrous metal theft.
Must be willing to travel and be away from home for long periods of time.
2.2 It is a specific requirement of this position that you need to operate in the field under sometimes strenuous physical circumstances; it is therefore a requirement that you must be fit and healthy.
2.3 It is required that the candidate have their own accommodation close to the office and must be willing to travel to and from the office on their own account.
You will be required to do:
1.1 Maintenance and Inspection.
1.2 Crime Risk Analysis and Crime Prevention.
1.3 Crime Investigation.
1.4 Arrest and Convictions.
1.5 Incidents.
1.6 Reports.
1.7 General and Administration.
1.8 Duties as set out in the Investigators job description as well as
Salary
- Starting basic salary: R 18 000.00, telephone allowance of R750.00, and vehicle allowance of R5 500.00 if you have a vehicle that can be used in the field, alternatively a pool vehicle will be provided.Medical aid contribution of R 1 700.00 with Discovery, full contribution towards Hollard Group Risk, full contribution towards Medical Gap Cover, 5 % contribution towards Liberty Provident Fund.
