Job Summary Purposes of the position Function as an Internal Auditor, with the principal objective of producing accurate, meaningful, timely information and audit reporting for use in decision-making. Responsibilities and Accountabilities Key accountabilities include ensuring accurate and timely audit reviews of, including but not limited to the Transport Department shipment files and producing internal audit reports to senior management. Work closely with local teams of entities across the group and understand their daily operations, in line with the audit scope and requirements. Prepare weekly reports on new findings and follow-up finding, for reporting to the Operations Director on a weekly basis, as well as ad-hoc when necessary. Prepare progress report on audit scope achievements. Ensure compliance with Group Policies. Other duties as assigned by the Superior. Travelling to group locations may be required on an ad hoc short-term basis. Comprising but not limited to the following: Internal Review Transport department shipment files Re-constituting shipment files to what they should be. Dive deep by utilizing various forensic type methods and resources. Identifying potential undercharges to customers and overcharges by creditors. Specific requirements for the position Essential Able to handle company information with confidentiality and discretion Proven ability to work on cross-functional and multicultural teams Responsible, self-driven, independent Good attention to detail and excellent analytical, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills Courage to propose solutions and ensure follow-through on the execution High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results orientation Excellent team player, energetic, work well under pressure, and able to meet deadlines Good verbal and written communication skills Minimum 5-7 years post qualification experience in the Internal Audit department of a large listed or multinational company An Internal Audit degree from a local or an internationally recognized University Preferred CIA preferred, but not essential provided work experience is adequate Experience in the logistics sector is preferred Excellence in Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office
