We're looking for an energetic, driven Intern to join our Johannesburg team for a year-long internship that offers exposure across Experience, Strategy, Creative and Project Management. This is your opportunity to learn from an integrated team and play a real part in bringing world-class brand experiences and events to life.
What You'll DoYou'll work across departments, supporting the dentsu X Experience team (and wider network) on a mix of client and internal projects. Expect hands-on involvement in: Event coordination - assist in planning, logistics, and execution of, but not limited to, client events, workshops, activations and experiences. Project management - help track timelines, resources, and deliverables to keep experiences running smoothly. Experience reporting & documentation - capture key outcomes, learnings, and impact from events and activations to inform future experiences. Creative research & ideation - contribute to brainstorms, research trends, scout venues, and gather inspiration for client briefs. Social media & communications - assist with dentsu X content creation (LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok) and internal comms. Admin & operations - support workflow systems and agency tools such as Chase, MEPlan, and Salesforce. Collaboration - partner with teams across strategy, creative, and client service to deliver seamless, multi-sensory brand experiences. On-the-ground experience - you'll be actively involved in setting up, managing, and executing live events, activations, and experiences. Expect to roll up your sleeves and bring the work to life in real-world environments.

What You'll Learn
Throughout your internship, you'll gain exposure to the dentsu X ecosystem and develop skills across:People (30%) - stakeholder management, communication, and presentation confidence. Experience & Brand Building (45%) - understanding brands, consumers, and markets; mastering dentsu X tools and frameworks (CCS, Merkury, etc); creating platform-fit content; and supporting high-impact activations. Commercials (10%) - understanding how great work connects to business growth, budgets, and revenue opportunities, and how to support the team in converting opportunities into value. Operations (15%) - mastering workflow tools and efficient processes that keep large-scale experiences moving. You'll work extensively on the Chase platform -- creating job bags, briefs, timesheets, and assisting with any other tools or systems used for day-to-day administration and project management.

What You'll BringSouth African ID and Matric certificate. Tertiary qualification advantageous (preferably in Marketing, Communications, Commerce, or related field). Strong working knowledge of Microsoft (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Canva. Comfortable using AI tools such as CoPilot, ChatGPT, Adobe Firefly & Creative Cloud. (to name a few). Active on social media and aware of emerging cultural trends. Clear and confident communicator -- written and verbal. Curious, proactive, and willing to learn by doing. Must have reliable transport or a means to get to the office and event locations in a timely manner when required. On-the-ground readiness - you'll be expected to be physically present at events, activations, and brand experiences, assisting with set-up, execution, and team support wherever needed.
