Role Purpose
The purpose of this Human Resources Intern role is to support the Human Capital team in delivering effective people-focused programs while gaining hands-on experience in organization development, recruitment, employee relations, onboarding, and HR administration. The intern will contribute to maintaining compliant and efficient HR processes, fostering a positive workplace culture, and developing practical skills and professional knowledge in human resources operations.
Requirements
Qualification

  • Grade 12
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant field such as Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Behavioral Sciences, or related discipline.
Knowledge
  • Knowledge of human resources and or industrial psychology principles.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Skills
  • Administrative Skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to follow procedures and work systematically.
  • Basic problem-solving skills.
  • Good attention to detail and organisational skills.
Experience
  • No formal work experience required; exposure to Human Capital environment through coursework or internships preferred.
Duties & Responsibilities
PROCESS
  • Provide administrative support to the human capital team to ensure efficient function of the team.
  • Assist in recruitment and employee relations processes
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and assist with filing and documentation.
  • Assist in the coordination of employee engagement and wellness initiatives.
  • Provide support in learning and development activities, including training session logistics.
  • Assist in capturing data and compiling HR reports.
  • Participate in ad hoc HR projects and initiatives.
CLIENT
  • Respond to and resolve access-related queries within agreed service levels.
  • Escalate complex issues to senior staff when necessary, ensuring timely follow-up with the requester.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with all relevant stakeholders, both internal and external.
PEOPLE
  • Develop and maintain productive and collaborative working relationships with peers and stakeholders..
  • Seek guidance from senior team members to continuously improve knowledge and performance.
FINANCE
  • Use company resources (time, systems, and equipment) efficiently and responsibly.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
  • Help develop and update project plans, timelines, and task lists.
  • Track milestones, status, dependencies, risks, and issues.
  • Coordinate meetings, take minutes, and track follow-ups.
  • Prepare status reports, presentations, and client updates.
DATA MANAGEMENT
  • Extract, collect, analyze and structure data from various sources.
  • Support dashboard administration.
  • Ensure data accuracy.
