Job Description

Main purpose of the job:

  • To provide administrative support and assist with a wide range of activities and tasks related to HJIs research and advocacy initiatives
Location:
  • Cape Town (Hybrid working)
Who is eligible to apply?
  • Persons between 18 and 35 years and in possession of a LLB Degree from a SA University
  • Persons able to commit 6 months full-time to the programme.
  • Preference will be given to candidates based in the Western Cape
  • Persons with a strong interest in public health, medicine, economics, scientific research, policy development, activism, and community engagement
The successful candidate must:
  • Demonstrate time-management and deadline-oriented skills, with the ability to work under pressure
  • Show great attention to detail
  • Be capable of drafting, proofreading, and preparing legal documents
  • Be highly organised, efficient, and proactive
  • Must be a team player
  • Be an analytical thinker with detailed research proficiencies
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Ability to multi-task with a high degree of accuracy
  • The successful candidate will receive a monthly stipend

  • The successful candidate will receive a monthly stipend.
