About the Role
Are you a detail-driven problem solver who thrives at the intersection of business and technology? Our fast-growing fintech team is looking for an Intermediate Systems Analyst who can bring clarity to complexity, translate ideas into actionable technical requirements, and help shape the systems that power our financial products.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who understands the software development lifecycle end-to-end, enjoys working with both people and technical documentation, and wants to contribute to systems that make a real impact.
You'll work mostly remotely, but we do meet occasionally at our Pinelands head office --currently sporadic, with talks of moving toward once-a-month in-office sessions.
If you love drawing flow diagrams as much as reading API docs, this one's for you.
Qualifications;

• 2-4+ years experience as a Systems Analyst , Business Analyst with technical focus, or similar role.
• Solid understanding of full-stack concepts and the software development lifecycle .
• Ability to read and interpret technical documentation , API specs, and system architecture diagrams.
• Experience crafting user stories , process flows , and requirement documents.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills--comfortable bridging the gap between tech and business.
• Fintech exposure is a plus, but not essential.

What You'll Be Doing
Requirements & Analysis

• Gather, analyse, and document business and technical requirements .
• Translate business needs into clear, structured technical specifications .
• Interpret and work with technical documents , architecture diagrams, and integration specs.

System Design & Documentation

• Create process flows , use cases , user stories , and solution documentation .
• Analyse and outline system integrations , API interactions , and data flows .
• Draft integration approaches and solution proposals from technical documentation.

Collaboration & Delivery

• Work closely with developers , QA teams , product owners , and business stakeholders.
• Support and coordinate UAT , testing cycles, and issue resolution.
• Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams .
• Participate in sprint planning, refinement sessions, and technical discussions.

Working Model

• Hybrid : Primarily remote.
• Occasional in-person meetings at our Pinelands, Cape Town office ; frequency currently ad-hoc, with potential move toward monthly sessions.
• Laptop will be provided
• Need to have a reliable home office setup suitable for remote work
