Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Procuring and managing subcontractor packages.
- Subcontractor tender adjudications and appointments.
- Preparing monthly claims, labour-only subcontractors, and subcontractor payment valuations.
- Agreeing subcontractor variations and ensuring full recovery under the main contract.
- Preparing and negotiating final accounts.
- Preparing and submission of payment claims.
- Assisting in tendering for new projects.
- Analysing project specifications, accurately measuring from drawings, and compiling Bills of Quantities for tender purposes.
- Rate build-ups for all trades.
- Compiling and updating project cash flow projections and reporting
- Will report directly to and work closely with the Senior Quantity Surveyor to ensure company business objectives are met and expected project profit margins are exceeded.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
- Solid track record.
- Strong knowledge of construction costs and pricing strategies
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor with 3 - 5 years experience.
- Exposure to high-end residential projects will be beneficial.
- Microsoft Office and CCS/QTO experience.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Self-disciplined to work independently and manage time efficiently.
- Ability to communicate fluently in Afrikaans and English.
- Own reliable transport and a valid drivers license.
Education: Degree (Btech / BSc (Quantity Surveying) (Required)
Experience: 3 - 5 Years of relevant experience in a QS environment with exposure to high-end residential projects.
