Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and energetic intermediate phase teacher to support our son, who is in the intermediate phase grade 4, in his growth and development. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the following:

Key Responsibilities:

1.

School Pick-Up and Transportation:

- Travel to Umhlanga to fetch our son after school and bring him to Queensburgh in the Afternoons. Reliability and a valid driver's license are essential.

2.

Homework Assistance:

- Help our son with his homework and study for upcoming tests, ensuring he understands the material and develops good study habits.

3.

Engaging Activities:

- Plan and participate in fun and educational activities after school, such as games, arts and crafts, and outdoor play that foster our son's creativity and physical development.

4.

Communication:

- Maintain open communication with our son's teachers to stay informed about his academic performance and any behavioral concerns.

- Provide regular updates to us about our son's progress and any noteworthy developments.

5.

Availability During School Holidays:

- Be present and engaged during school holidays to provide consistent support, organize activities, and supervise playdates or outings.

6.

Supportive Environment:

- Create a nurturing and positive environment that encourages our son's social, emotional, and educational growth while promoting independence and confidence.

7.

Meal Preparation:

- Assist with preparing healthy snacks and simple meals for our son, encouraging him to develop good eating habits.

Working Hours:

- The position requires availability from

12 PM to 6 PM

, with flexibility for occasional additional hours during school holidays or special events.

Ideal Qualifications:

- Experience in working with children, particularly in the intermediate phase with references.

- Strong communication skills to engage effectively with both our son, his teachers and us.

- A fun, energetic, and self-motivated personality, with a passion for child development.

- A valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle for transportation.
